OXFORD, MS – FNB welcomes Justin Canterbury, Vice President, Market Manager and Jessica Smith, Branch Manager to its newest location in Water Valley, Mississippi. Justin Canterbury, VP, Market Manager, began his tenure at FNB Water Valley in January 2024 and oversees business operations and development for Water Valley and Yalobusha County. As an experienced community banker and leader, Canterbury has been an active volunteer in Water Valley serving as past President and Vice President of the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as past President of the Water Valley Rotary Club. In addition, Justin is an active member of First Baptist Church Water Valley, where he serves as Deacon and is a member of the Finance Committee, choir, and praise band. In August Canterbury will graduate from the Mississippi Bankers Association School of Banking at the University of Mississippi. In January 2024 Jessica Smith joined the team in Water Valley as Branch Manager. As a skilled and seasoned community banker, she brings a background in customer service excellence and provides leadership to FNB’s customer-focused efforts in Yalobusha County. Smith is a long-standing member of the Coffeeville community and is an active member of Grenada Church of God. FNB Water Valley, located at 400 North Main Street, opened its doors in November 2023. After previous Branch Manager Tina Tidwell and her team successfully launched retail operations, Tidwell resumed duties as Retail Banking Officer at FNB’s main branch on the Oxford Square. FNB Water Valley is a full-service branch and is the bank’s sixth location in North Mississippi. We look forward to celebrating our newest branch at our upcoming Grand Opening with Justin, Jessica, and the entire FNB Water Valley team.” On Thursday, March 21, FNB Water Valley will host its official Grand Opening. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and community members are invited to enjoy refreshments, meet the FNB Water Valley team, and learn more about the bank. Radio station Q105 FM will remotely broadcast the Grand Opening event. According to Canterbury, “We can’t wait to visit with community members at our Grand Opening on Thursday, March 21. Stop by to meet our team and tour the FNB Water Valley branch. We’ll be grilling hotdogs and serving up treats for everyone to enjoy.
