The Town of Coffeeville tried to have a “Special Called” board meeting Monday morning at 10:30am. This meeting never came to order and was rescheduled for next Monday. MCWI funding was one of the four items on the agenda. This funding is tied to ARPA money and must be designated by August 30th in order to not lose it forever. This $275,000 is money that the town can use to fix Kennedy Street, much needed, and the town already has the match money in hand which would put the project just over $400,000. There was another item of interest that needs to be decided on that was on the agenda. An Agreement To Purchase Communications Easement was in the packet as well and the purchase agreement amount was $175,000. The communications agreements seem to be an ongoing thing from year to year. Also, on the agenda was the 2024-2025 budget that will need to be published the first of September. Hopefully our board can come together and get the business of the town done.
