Coffeeville Board Approved MCWI Funding

During a heated special called meeting Monday the board approved to go forward with the MCWI funding which is a 2 to 1 match. In other words the funding pays 66% and the town matching 33%. This money is to be spent on Kennedy Street, which is much needed. This project is expected to be in the $400.000 range. On the Phillips Contracting Company payment for the paving the board took NO action, two motions died without a second (one to pay the claim and one to file something with the Chancery Court). The board also moved to approve the publishing of the proposed budget in the next couple of weeks for a hearing.
