Late last week owner/operator Steve Bailey at Yalobusha Hardware and Lumber closed out a 49 year career serving the town of Coffeeville selling the business to Josh and Jennifer Burrowes. Steve has held on for several years searching for the right person to take on the task of owning and running the business. From Josh Burrowes: My family and I look forward to taking over this special business that has been a staple in Coffeeville for decades, thanks to the Bailey family. We hope to continue in the same hospitality and family friendly environment the same way Mr. Steve has for the past 49 years. I’d like to introduce myself to the town. I am Josh Burrowes the son of Kenny and Doris Burrowes of Water Valley and the late Wanda Fly Burrowes of Coffeeville. My grandparents were Paul and Carla Fly and Mary Ann Fly who were all also Coffeeville residents; so I definitely have very deep roots and love for this town. Me and my Daughter, Chloe Burrowes, will be at the store daily, my wife Jennifer Burrowes, of 20 years, and son Cooper Burrowes will also join us at the store occasionally when he is not occupied with school activities. We are very excited to continue this business as Yalobusha Hardware and Lumber. Our goals are to restock the lumber yard back up to its full capacity to meet all of your hardware and lumber needs, whether that be framing up an entire house or just small household projects. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each and everyone of you personally. I would also like to thank Mr. Steve and Mrs. Patty Bailey for their love and support throughout this process because none of this would have been possible without it. We would also like for Yalobusha Hardware and Lumber’s slogan to be “shop around or sit around, we are open for conversation too.” Josh and Jennifer Burrowes Coffeeville would like to extend a warm welcome to the Burrowes family and a heartfelt thank you to the Bailey family for their dedication over the last 49 years!
Note of Appreciation
For the past 49 years, Yalobusha County Lumber Company has had the privilege of serving the building material and hardware needs of the people of Coffeeville, Yalobusha County, and the surrounding area. We would like to thank our many loyal customers for their business and for their unwavering support over all these years. Also, we would like to recognize and thank our current and former employees for their invaluable contributions that helped this business be successful. Many devoted 30-40 years of their working careers, and their loyalty was very important to our success. As a family-owned business, we are deeply appreciative of the many friendships and bonds we have formed throughout the years. Yalobusha County Lumber has been a big part of family life for us, our children, and our grandchildren, and we are grateful for the relationships and the community we have shared. The Josh Burrowes family will continue to operate the business under the name Yalobusha Hardware and Lumber, LLC. They look forward to continuing to serve the lumber and hardware needs of this area. Thank you again for all your past and future business and support. Sincerely, Yalobusha County Lumber Co., Inc. Steve and Patty Bailey
