The Coffeeville High School Basketball Pirates recently joined the Bethlehem Church Family during worship on Sunday, March 16th. It was a time of great worship and fellowship during which the team and coaches were honored and celebrated for their championship season. Head Coach Demarius Bush and Coach Assistant Stanford Spearman, Sr. and the team were presented to the congregation. They were appreciated for winning and for representing our community so well. This accomplishment is a first for the school and community in 68 years. The Church presented the Team with a donation in support of the purchase of championship rings to commemorate their amazing achievement. Each of the team members and coaches were also presented goodwill bags prepared by Minister Courtney Dillard, Sis. J. Charity Ware and Pastor and Sis. Larry W. Ware. Following the worship service, the team gathered in the Rev. W. M. Brown Fellowship Hall with worshippers to share in a luncheon which was coordinated by Deacon Eddie Harris, Bro. Anthony Mason, Sis. Sonja Page and Sis. Josephine Torrance and was greatly enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
