Efforts to improve the appearance of streets around Coffeeville continue as curbs and fire hydrants are being painted and gutters and sidewalks pressure washed by the Town maintenance crew. Mayor Brad Ayers told The Coffeeville Courier that handicap accessible parking spots and ramps are being painted and designated for those who need assistance in accessing stores along Front Street. The town is also focusing on mowing ditches along Depot Street north of the intersection with Okahoma Street which are overgrown and filled with garbage. Other areas include substantial mowing and edging around the former Piggly Wiggly grocery store in anticipation of increased work upcoming in the store.
