This image from nearby security cameras shows a man holding what appears to be a pistol and an automatic weapon at the time of the shooting. Any residents who recognize the individual are encouraged to contact Coffeeville Police Department. All outreach will remain confidential. The calm of Sunday afternoon was shattered in Coffeeville as residents reported multiple gunshots fired near 10164 Kennedy Street at approximately 4:00 pm. An unidentified seventeen-year-old male was shot at least four times. Residents from neighboring homes confirmed to The Coffeeville Courier that three individuals were seen firing “dozens of shots” with pistols and large automatic weapons. The residence where the shooting occurred is a rental property owned by Ralph Hughes. “As far as we know there were two individuals shooting at each other. While we consider this to be an isolated event, the suspects are still at large. We are obtaining a warrant for arrests in the case,” according to Coffeeville Police Chief Rolando Fair. “If anyone has additional information related to the shooting, please contact the Coffeeville Police Department.” CPD, along with the Oakland Police Department and Yalobusha Sheriff’s Department, each responded to the incident.
