Yalobusha Historical Society

 We are pleased to announce that the September speaker for the Yalobusha Historical Society is Mr. Lovejoy Boteler. He will tell us about “The Place”, the Grenada County family farm where he and his siblings grew up. This farm was once part of Yalobusha County (1843 – approx 1870) and he will give us some background as to how that happened. A talented speaker and writer, Mr. Boteler returns after telling us on a previous visit of his kidnapping by Parchman escapees. 

The meeting is on Thursday, September 18th at 2 PM at YHS headquarters14656 Depot St. in Coffeeville. There is no admission. Refreshments will be served.
