WATER VALLEY – Mississippi voters will head to the polls Tuesday, March 10 for the state’s congressional and U.S. Senate primary elections. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In the Second Congressional District, incumbent Bennie G. Thompson faces Democratic challengers Evan Lit- tleton Turnage and Pertis Herman Williams III. Republicans Ron Eller and Kevin Wilson are seeking their party’s nomination for the Second District. Bennie Foster is running as an independent in November.
For U.S. Senate, Republican incumbent Cindy Hyde- Smith faces challenger Sarah Adlakha in the GOP primary. Democrats Scott Colom, Albert R. Little and Priscilla W. Till are also on the ballot. Ty Pinkins is running as an independent in the general election.
A runoff, if needed, will be held April 7.
