Willis “Patch” Goodnight passed away Saturday, July 13th. Willis served for Yalobusha County as an EMT for over 20 years, he also served on the Velma Fire Department. Willis’ full obituary will be in next week’s edition and will be available on our websight as soon as it becomes available.

Walking Track project funded by Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Park Grant and with Townes Construction Company, Grenada, MS, Contractor. Security camera footage showed fireworks exploding on the front porch at 14696 Depot Street just after midnight July 5th. Numerous explosions occured on the front porch, luckily a fire did not start. The case is under investigation.
