Marie and her friend Caleb have a dog named Dakota. I was telling my sister-in-law Pat Hickey of this and how I thought it was a strange name for a dog. She said “Oh, Sarah, don’t you remember mine and William’s dog that we named Minnesota Red Dog.” I said, “Yeah, I guess I do, come to think of it.”

Darrell Surrette was our guest speaker at The Coffeeville Church of Christ Sunday morning. His text was taken from John Chapter 4 where it reads about Jesus healing a royal official’s son.

Our hearts go out to Amanda and Eric Hanks in the tragic death of their son, Jonah Hanks Wednesday, February 14 in Grenada. His mother Amanda is the daughter of Thu and the late Jimmy Madison of Coffeeville. His funeral was held at Emmanuel Baptist Church Saturday, February 17.

Our hearts also go out to Geneva Harper due to the fact that her son, Quay Peacock, is very sick. Our prayers go out to this family. Our youngest brother, Walter Hickey is also sick in the hospital in Madison. Your prayers are also wanted.

I guess I’ll mention my birthday next Monday, February 26, as I have told about my other siblings. I’ll be 82, was born at Tallahatchie County to Flora Keelin Hickey and Aaron Hickey. Now I am the oldest of their children now living.
