Miss Dorris Elaine Daniels, 53, of Coffeeville passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024. She was born July 21, 1971, in the home of Margaret and Jessie Williams. At an early age, Dorris joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Finally, she served faithfully as a chioir member at Greater Sander Chapel. Dorris was a graduate of Coffeeville High School’s Class of 1989. She was an active member of the band and the flag team. She furthered her education at Northwest Community College and the University of Mississippi. Dorris served as an AmeriCorps member with the Coffeeville School District, where she received many honors. She also worked as a teacher’s assistant with the Water Valley School District and was employed at Piggly Wiggly in Water Valley, MS. She was united in holy matrimony to Terrell Daniels. Dorris loved her family dearly, especially her beloved mother, Nora, and her cherished son, Christian. She also had a special place in her heart for all the children in the family and spoiled them with love. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, decorating, and singing. Dorris always had a bright smile and gave God the glory for all things. On the evening of November 23, 2024, god called Dorris home. Her adored grandparents, Jessie and Margaret Covington Williams; her aunts, Hazel Lewis and Bernice Roland; and her baby brother, Chauncey Orlando Armstrong, preceded her in death. Dorris’ life and legacy will be forever cherished by her mother and father of Coffeeville, MS; her son, Christian Rodny Chamberlain of Grenada, MS; her sisters and brothers, Gregory (Lenora) Woodard of Water Valley, MS, Ronnie Shaw of Coffeeville, MS, Joni (Christopher) Harrell of Bruce, MS, and Kakecha (Quinton) Taylor of Southaven, MS; her aunts, Louise (Napoleon) Kimble of Coffeeville, MS, Martha (Lee) Watson of Grenada, MS, and Minnie (Cecil) Thomas of Irmo, SC; her nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, family, and friends all whom loved her dearly.
