Jeanette Crenshaw Bryant Obit

Jeanette Crenshaw Bryant, 81, passed away at her home in Grenada on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Born May 6, 1944, in Grenada County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Durrell Crenshaw and the late Jessie Mae Anderson. She was a 1962 graduate of Calhoun City High School, and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was retired after many years with Penco Hosiery first then moving on to Kellwood serving as a Seamstress and Inspector at both companies. She loved to crochet, and was an excellent seamstress. She personally made both of her daughters’ wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. She had a green thumb, and was always working with her flowers. She was a great cook, and especially loved making desserts. She always made sure there was a buttermilk pie in the fridge. Above all, she loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grands. She cherished every minute spent with them, and absolutely loved having everyone together for Christmas. She will be missed tremendously by her family and friends, but her memory will be forever held in their hearts. Pryor Funeral Home has the honor of serving Jeanette’s family. A Funeral Service celebrating her life was held on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 3:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There was also Visitation on Monday from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Phillip James was the officiant, with interment following at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Parker James, Jacob Palmer, Bubba Nelson, Doug Crutchfield, Gene Alexander, and Wayne Reynolds. Honorary Pallbearers were Frank Anderson and Howie Williams. She leaves behind her daughters, Tanya Martin (Paul) of Oxford and Melissa James (Phillip) of Washington, MO; her brother, Wiley Wayne Crenshaw (Brooke) of Fairhope, WA; grandchildren, Ashley Martin, Parker James (Corinne), Amelia Palmer (Jacob), and Anna Young (Blade); great-grandchildren, Presley Anne James, James Henry Palmer, and two more on the way; her remaining first cousins, Frank Anderson (Kathy) and Doddie Ross; and best friend, Sue Martin.
