Festus, Ruth, Jane and Amanda Hailey visited Peggy Bailey at the nursing home in Charleston Saturday afternoon. Peggy was doing okay, they reported.
Daughter Donna Garripoli visited with us Sunday.
The beautiful decorated Christmas tree in the gazebo on the Square in Grenada was decorated by Tillatoba’s JG Henderson.
J. G. left out over the weekend for a fabulous week of showroom designing for 2026 market season! We are so proud of you and pray for you a safe trip.

No real different news this week. Lunch at Grenada Lake a couple of times. Great place to visit between shopping and business stops. Lunch at the Corner was exceptional Friday. Best flavored fried catfish ever, and those veggies are scrumptious!
Wonderful service at Willow Springs AOG yesterday. A real Spirit lead message and songs. And all those precious hugs I so love seeing my family and old friends. It was a great Sunday! After a real good nap, daughter Ginger came by and we shared our Sunday happenings, said Martha.
Happy Anniversary to Jason and Wendy Pettit who celebrate their 8th on the 18th. Jason get Wendy a beautiful personalized heart shaped necklace that opens.
Happy 19th anniversary to Frank and Freda Weir. It says for the 19th anniversary to give something in brass. I think I heard Freda say she wanted brass knuckles but Frank, you better not get that woman brass knuckles. Give her flowers in a brass vase.
Happy birthday to Ruby Smallwood on the 18th, Chris Nail and sherry Sykes share a birthday on the 19th, My firstborn granddaughter, Miranda Procella, is celebrating her birthday on the 21st. Also Mary Leigh Holland Freeman and Cliff McCain celebrate their birthday on the 21st. I pray you all have a wonderful day celebrating!
Recipe for the week: Bread Pudding with
Vanilla Sauce
Pudding Ingredients:
•4 cups cubed day old bread
•1/2 cups raisins
•2 cups milk
•1/2 cup butter, melted
•1/2 cup sugar
•2 eggs, slightly beaten
•1 teaspoon vanilla extract
•1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
•1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
•pinch of salt
Vanilla Sauce ingredients:
•1/2 cups cubed butter
•1/2 cup sugar
•1/2 cup brown sugar
•1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
•1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, raisins, eggs, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt. Add bread cubes and toss gently. Stir in the melted butter. Transfer to the baking dish and bake for 40-45 minutes. For the sauce, combine cream, sugar, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth. Serve the warm bread pudding with a generous amount of vanilla sauce and enjoy.
Thought for the day: I don’t mean to brag, but I put a puzzle together in one day and the box said 2-4 years.
