Thank you members of the David Reese Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for putting up the American Flags all around the court house in Oxford. They really added to the 250th anniversary of our nation.

On my wall is a picture Cathy Rowsey Vaughn painted of the Coffeeville Courier, a gift to me from ReeRee, my granddaughter, for Christmas a few years ago. A lot of people ask who painted the picture and I tell them.

I really thought I was going to miss the Lord’s Supper Sunday, but I didn’t. I had not failed to partake of it since I came here in February. The preacher from Charleston is so faithful to bring it to me. Thank you so very much to the preacher and his wife from Charleston Church of Christ.

When looking at the gifts Mike has given me over the years, I was overwhelmed.

Four empty glasses were left in my room as I am trying to drink all my water. The CNA took them as the kitchen needed them back.

Enjoyed seeing Sheila Dorris after getting in touch with her after such a long time. I attended her wedding shower several years ago. Her husband’s great uncle Earl Summers had made an ironing board for them as a wedding gift.
