“Unearth a Story” Summer Library
Program Ended July 2
Our exciting “Unearth a Story” Summer Library Program ended June 29 at Coffeeville and July 2 at Oakland with a birthday celebration for America 250!
At Coffeeville on June 29, we celebrated America’s birthday with stories and made a patriotic craft. Then, we had a parade to the Court House and went up to the Court Room to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Coffeeville Police Officer Billy Moore was our special guest and escorted us to the Court House. The program ended with firecracker popsicles on the library porch and cupcakes to take home.
The “Unearth a Story” Summer Library Program is free for children in grades K-6. This summer, we have been digging into exciting stories about reptiles, paleontology, dinosaurs, archeology, gardening, and America’s history.
