Vs. 20 Then Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head (in mourning for his children), and he fell to the ground and worshipped (God) Vs. 21 He said “naked (without possessions) I came (into this world) from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Vs. 22 Through all of this Job did not sin nor did he blame God. Job 1:20-22 AMP Version One of the most impressive things in the story of a man named Job is this, in spite of everything that happened to him, and everything that he had lost, in verse 22 of Chapter one, recorded, “Through all of this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.” Let’s take a quick look at Job, how he was and what God had blessed him with. Vs. 1 . . .”and that man blameless and upright, and one who feared God (Will Reverence) and abstained from and turned away from evil (because he honored God. . .”) He had seven sons and three daughters (that were killed) 7,000 sheep, 3,00 camels, 500 yoke (pairs) of oxen, 500 female donkeys and a very grat number of servants . . . . so that this man was the greatest (and wealthiest and most respectful) of all the men of the East (Northern Arabial). In terms that the young people use “The Brother had Bank” It’s amazing to me how much Job endured and lost and and was still able to keep his trust in God. There is so much to uncover about this man Job. That we will try to uncover in the coming weeks. Theres a whole lots more than a scripture being read when someone dies. Reread this amazing story and we will explore it together, and hopefully see how we fit in with this man. Be Blessed!!! P.S. When Job had everything he praised God. When Job had nothing, he praised God. There’s a lesson to be learned by us.
