Mike sent me a picture by text last week. He was standing by a flower arrangement that was given in memory of Mr. and Mrs. John Sturdivant that was at the funeral of Phillip Tillman. They were members of Mike and Phillip’s Oaklaand class of 1950. Phillip was burried in January after passing away in December. His funeral was held at Mt. Zion Baptitst Church which was the first church which Phillip preached at. My granddaughter Marie promised to get it printed for me. -0- Tammy and I went to Water Valley Friday afternoon to get some money for church and to get some groceries plus lunch. Always get bananas at Larson’s plus lunch that day. I will be glad when the grocery store at Oakland is opened. -0- Year-Old Wrenleigh Williams attends church with her mother most Sundays. Her great great grandmother Ora Mae Collins sits by her when Sunday School is over. When church was over Sunday, Madelyn Lewis was holding her and I heard her making noises. Got Tammy to push me back so as I could see her and her grandmother Emily Purdy. She had her hair fixed so cute, or maybe it was her mother Madison. Her dad Colby Williams was also present. -0- Eddie Lewis of Olive Branch was the guest speaker at the Coffeeville Church of Christ Sunday morning. His text was taken from II Thesalonians chapter three about prayer. Eddie’s wife Madelyn brought me a loaf of sour dough bread she had baked. When we got home from church Tammy sliced it and I had a bit for lunch. -0- Anthony Myers will be coming to preach a trial surmon at the Coffeeville Church of Christ on Sunday, April 6th. He will also teach the adult Sunday Schoool Class and preach again on Sunday evening. The service times are 10 AM Bible class, 11 AM morning worship service, and 6 PM night worship service. We encourage everyone to attend.
