Julia Roberson Hackman Obit

Julia Roberson Hackman, age 94, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the Bruce Community Nursing Home in Bruce, Mississippi.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026 the Charleston First Methodist in Charleston, Mississippi. The family will received friends one hour prior to the service.
Julia was born on March 11, 1932, in Charleston to the late Julius Marshal Roberson and Hester Claire Neal Roberson. Her life was a testament to love, dedication, and the beauty she brought into the world through her craft and her caring nature.
A lifelong resident of Charleston, Julia was well known for owning and operating Julia’s Florist, where she created countless floral arrangements that brightened special occasions and everyday moments. Her passion for flowers extended beyond her business; she was an avid gardener with a special fondness for growing okra, and she took great joy in landscaping and nurturing her garden. Family, especially her role as a loving “Nan,” was at the heart of her life.
Julia leaves behind her three children, Steve Hackman of Jonesboro, AR, Maury Hackman of Grenada, MS, and Connie Hoffman of Jonesboro, AR.
She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Borderline of Charleston, MS, Frances Jane Pigg of Pearl, MS, and Dorothy Ellarde of Charleston, MS, along with her brothers Donald Roberson of Clinton, MS, and David Roberson of Charleston, MS.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Roberson, James Edwin Roberson, as well as an infant sibling, Sammy Neal Roberson.
Julia is now reunited with the love of her life, Henry Hackman, Jr.
