As I sit here alone I think of my friend Barbara Leigh Douglas Worsham. I have known her since we were very young and attended school at Teasdale Elementary. I thought she was very acrobetic. She could lean over backwards and drink a cup of water as she came up. I think she was in the eighth grade at the time and I really admired her. At this time she is facing heart surgery and my heart goes out to the family who I love dearly, especially her husband, Jack, and her children Michael and Wendi and her grandchildren. May God hold them in the palm of His hand. As she says when we end our conversation on the phone, “Remember God Loves You.” I do Barbara Leigh. -0- I enjoyed Tammy being with me two nights last week while Ree and Caleb were out of town. One night she went to the basketball game and I watched TV while she was gone. She left Thursday afternoon for her home three miles out in the country. -0- Debra Tacket, Speech Therapist with Accent Care, came Thursday afternoon for a session. She would give me several words to remember and later I would tell her what they were. I could name most of them, but it took a lot of remembering. -0- The 39th president of the United States Jimmy Carter, 100 years old, was laid to rest Wednesday in his home state of Georgia. -0- Always think and remember Mrs. Edith Jones when it snows. She would get out a dish pan to catch the fresh snow as it fell and make snow ice cream for the family. What a treat! Mrs. Jones daughter Gerry more than likely makes snow ice cream too if she is like her mother. -0- For the last two years I have failed to see Vonda Sink when she would visit her parents over the holidays. Thought that was the case this year, but after church she came up behind me and gave me a hug. Lucky for me this year. -0- Bro. Larry Lot and his wife were here as guests at the Coffeeville Church of Christ Sunday morning. He made us laugh and cry during his sermon.
