What a wonderful birthday party was given to me by my children Sunday at noon. We enjoyed pork tenderloins, mac and cheese, green beans, pear salad, and devilled eggs, and opened gifts and later ice cream and caramel cake. Ree Ree really decorated the dining room and pretty pink. Afterwards heard a commotion when one of Ree Rees’ Cat, Tip, came in with a bird he had caught in his mouth, and had carried to the back. Ree Ree got the closest thing she could find – a new mop – and got the bird out from under the bed. We all laughed big time and asked, “What do you do at a redneck’s birthday party?” Get your cat to catch a bird and bring it inside!

I was accused of breaking three fingers on my left hand Saturday morning to draw more attention to myself as we were to attend a birthday celebration in Como, for my sister, Dianne, and me. Ree called an ambulance which took me to the Grenada ER and I had my left hand wrapped from my fingers to my wrist. I am having a hard time getting dressed, but with the help of Tammy, and Ree, it takes me only a hour.

Our youngest sibling, Walter Hickey, remains in the Cleveland Hospital, where he has double pneumonia and has been given one unit of blood. Please pray for him.

Mike always remembers me on my birthday and Christmas as he did this year. I got a beautiful light blue and white robe which came to Tammy and John’s house a few days ago. They brought it to me today, Sunday.
